🎓 Educational Qualifications
For Graduate Apprentice: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (B.E./B.Tech) in relevant disciplines, or B.Com/B.A/B.Sc from a recognized university. Candidates who passed in 2023, 2024, or 2025 are eligible to apply.
For Technician Apprentice: Diploma in Engineering or relevant field from a recognized institute. Candidates who passed in 2023, 2024, or 2025 can apply.
For Trade Apprentice: 10th standard pass with ITI certification (NCVT/SCVT) in the respective trade. Candidates who passed in 2023, 2024, or 2025 are eligible.
💰 Stipend Details (per month)
Apprentices will receive a monthly stipend ranging from ₹10,560 to ₹12,300 depending on the category and qualification level.
🎯 Selection Process
The selection will be based on:
- Merit List (based on educational qualifications)
- Document Verification
- Medical Examination
- State Preference (Priority given to Tamil Nadu candidates)
⏳ Age Limit
As on 1st November 2025:
- Minimum Age: 18 years
- Maximum Age: 27 years
- Age relaxation applicable as per government rules for reserved categories

Step 1: Register on Government Portal
All candidates (especially Graduate and Technician Apprentices) must first register on the Government of India portal at https://nats.education.gov.in and obtain a 16-digit unique apprenticeship registration number. For Trade Apprentices (ITI), register at https://www.apprenticeshipindia.gov.in
Step 2: Apply on BHEL Portal
After registration, visit the BHEL Trichy website at https://trichy.bhel.com and access the Apprenticeship Application Portal (THIRUMAYAM) to submit your online application.
Important Points:
- Only online applications will be accepted
- Keep an active email ID and mobile number valid for at least one year
- All future communications will be through website/email/SMS
- Double-check all information before final submission
