🎯 Selection Process – 5 Stages to Success

You’ll go through 5 stages to become a Police Constable:

Stage 1: Physical Efficiency Test (PET)

  • For UB Male & Female: 40 marks
  • For AB Female: 40 marks
  • For AB Male: 60 marks
  • Tests your physical fitness through running and other physical activities

Stage 2: Medical Examination

  • A doctor will check your mental and physical health
  • Ensures you’re fit to serve in the police force
  • No marks given, but you must pass this stage

Stage 3: Physical Standard Test (PST)

  • Height Measurement:
    • General/OBC/SC/ST(P): Male – 162.5 cm | Female – 154 cm
    • ST(H): Male – 160 cm | Female – 152 cm
  • Chest Measurement (for Males only):
    • General/OBC/SC/ST(P): Minimum 80 cm with 5 cm expansion
    • ST(H): Minimum 78 cm with 5 cm expansion
  • No marks given, qualifying test only

Stage 4: Written Test (50 marks)

  • 100 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ)
  • Each correct answer = 0.5 marks
  • No negative marking – answer freely!

Health Requirements (You must be completely healthy):

  • Good mental and physical health
  • No diabetes, heart disease, hernia, or piles
  • No respiratory diseases or breathing problems
  • No knock-knee or flat foot issues
  • Not color blind and no squint eyes
  • Eye Sight: 6/6 in at least one eye (6/9 in the other eye is acceptable)
  • Near Vision: Normal vision for reading
