🎓 Educational Qualifications
For Technician Apprentice (Mechanical/Electrical/Instrumentation/Civil/Electronics):
- Qualification: 3 years regular full-time Diploma in relevant Engineering discipline
- Marks Required: Minimum 50% marks for General/EWS/OBC-NCL, 45% for SC/ST/PwD
- Validity: Degree acquired between 01.04.2022 – 31.12.2025
For Trade Apprentice (ITI Trades – Fitter/Electrician/Electronics/Instrument/Machinist):
- Qualification: Matric (10th pass) + 2-year regular full-time ITI in relevant trade
- Must be: NCVT/SCVT recognized
- Validity: Qualification acquired between 01.04.2021 – 31.12.2025
For Graduate Apprentice (All Streams):
- Qualification: Bachelor’s degree (BA/B.Com/B.Sc/BBA) in any discipline
- Marks Required: Minimum 50% marks for General/EWS/OBC-NCL, 45% for SC/ST/PwD
- Validity: Degree acquired between 01.04.2022 – 31.12.2025
For Trade Apprentice – Data Entry Operator:
- Qualification: Class 12th (but below graduate) with minimum 50% marks
- Additional: Skill Certificate in ‘Domestic Data Entry Operator’ (optional but preferred)
- Validity: Qualification acquired between 01.04.2021 – 31.12.2025
Important Notes:
- Only full-time regular courses recognized
- Part-time, correspondence, or distance learning courses NOT eligible
- PwD candidates NOT eligible for certain Technician/Trade posts
- Candidates with higher qualifications (B.E./B.Tech./MBA/MCA/CA/ICWA/LLB) NOT eligible
💰 Salary / Stipend Details (Per Month)
Apprenticeship Stipend:
- As per Apprentices Act, 1961/1973 and subsequent amendments
- Exact stipend amount will be communicated at the time of engagement
- Stipend paid monthly during the 12-month apprenticeship training period
Post-Training Opportunity:
- No guarantee of permanent employment after completion

- Use your registered Email ID or User ID
- Enter your password

Step 4: Verify Your Profile
- Check all personal details appear correctly

Q1: Can I apply for multiple discipline codes?
A: No! You can apply for ONLY ONE discipline code. Multiple applications will result in automatic rejection.
Q2: Is the application process completely online?
A: Yes, but you MUST complete BOTH NAPS/NATS application AND Microsoft Form. One alone is not enough.
Q3: What is the stipend amount?
A: Exact amount will be communicated at the time of engagement as per Apprentices Act regulations.
Q4: Is there a guarantee of permanent job after apprenticeship?
A: No, there is no guarantee of permanent employment after completion. However, you receive excellent training and a completion certificate.
Q5: Can I apply if I have a bachelor’s degree and also completed ITI?
A: You need to decide which category to apply for. You cannot apply for both. Choose the most recent/highest qualification.
Q6: What are PwD candidates not eligible for?
A: PwD candidates are NOT eligible for Technician and Trade Apprentice posts. Only eligible for Graduate Apprentice posts.
Q7: When will results be announced?
A: Merit lists will be prepared and published on IOCL website. Shortlisted candidates will be called for document verification.
Q8: What if my documents are incomplete?
A: Your application will be rejected. Ensure all required documents are properly scanned and uploaded.
Q9: Can I apply if my qualification is from distance learning mode?
A: No, only full-time regular courses are eligible. Distance/part-time learning is NOT acceptable.
Q10: What is the medical fitness requirement?
A: Selected candidates must pass IOCL’s pre-engagement medical fitness test. Ensure you are physically and mentally fit.
