🎓 Educational Qualifications

You need any one of the following qualifications:

Option 1: Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy

• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.)
• Must be from a Central or State University recognized in India
• No experience required

Option 2: Diploma in Pharmacy + Experience

• Diploma in Pharmacy from a recognized Central or State University
• At least 2 years of work experience as:
  • Junior Pharmacist in government or government undertaking
  • Dispenser in hospitals or dispensaries
  • Pharmacist or Medical Representative in a pharmaceutical company

Additional Requirements:

• Basic knowledge of computer applications (compulsory)
• Adequate knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi (or both)
• Must be registered (or willing to register) with Gujarat State Pharmacy Council under the Pharmacy Act, 1948

💰 Salary Details

Year 1-5 (Fixed Pay): ₹40,800 per month

After 5 Years (on satisfactory completion): Pay scale of ₹29,200 – ₹92,300 (Level-5) as per 7th Pay Commission

🎯 Selection Process

The selection process is straightforward with a single competitive examination:

Exam Format:

• Type: Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) using Computer-Based Test (CBT) or OMR method
• Duration: 3 hours (180 minutes total)
• Total Marks: 210 marks
• Negative Marking: Yes (1/4 of mark for each wrong answer)

Exam Structure:

Part A (60 marks total):

• Mental Ability Test & Data Interpretation – 30 marks
• Quantitative Aptitude – 30 marks

Part B (150 marks total):

• Constitution of India, Current Affairs, Gujarati & English Comprehension – 30 marks
• Subject-related questions (Pharmacy) & its applicability – 120 marks

Total Questions: 210 (60 in Part-A and 150 in Part-B)

Qualifying Standard:

• Minimum 40% marks required separately in Part-A
• Minimum 40% marks required separately in Part-B
• All candidates (all categories) must meet this 40% standard

After Result Declaration:

• Approximately twice the number of candidates (against category-wise vacancies) will be called for certificate verification based on merit
• Final merit list will be prepared category-wise
• Final selection subject to certificate verification and suitability assessment

📑 How to Apply

Step 1: Visit the OJAS portal at https://ojas.gujarat.gov.in

Step 2: Click on “Online Application” and select “GSSSB”

Step 3: Search for “Junior Pharmacist, Class-III, Advt. No. 329/2025-26” and click on it

Step 4: Click “More Details” to read the full advertisement, then click “Apply Now”

Step 5: Fill in Personal Details carefully:

• Full name, date of birth, contact details
• All fields marked with * are mandatory

Step 6: Fill in Educational Details:

• Your pharmacy qualification details
• Years of experience (if applicable)
• Computer knowledge certificate details

Step 7: In the Declaration/Assurance section:

• Read carefully and accept the conditions
• Select “Yes” and click “Save”
• An “Application Number” will be generated – save it

Step 8: Upload Photo and Signature:

• Photograph specifications: 5 cm height × 3.6 cm width, JPG format, max 15 KB
• Signature specifications: 2.5 cm height × 7.5 cm width, JPG format, max 15 KB
• Use the “Upload Photograph” option with your Application Number and Date of Birth

Step 9: Confirm Your Application:

• Go to “Confirm Application”
• Enter Application Number and Date of Birth
• Verify all details carefully
• Click “Confirm” (no changes allowed after confirmation)
• An “Confirmation Number” will be generated – save it carefully

Step 10: Print Application:

• Go to “Print Application Form”
• Select Job/Advertisement number
• Enter Confirmation Number and Date of Birth
• Take a printout and keep it until the entire recruitment process is complete

Step 11: Pay Examination Fee:

• Login with your Confirmation Number
• Go to “Print Application / Pay Fees”
• Choose your payment method (Debit Card, Internet Banking, UPI, or Wallet)
• Complete payment by 02 January 2026
• Print the fee receipt/e-receipt and keep it safe

General Rules:

• Candidates must apply online only; no other mode accepted
• Only one application allowed per person; multiple applications will be cancelled
• Reservation applicable only to Gujarat State candidates as per rules
• Women candidates will be given preference; if suitable women candidates unavailable, posts filled from male candidates
• PwD candidates get age relaxation and facilities like scribe/compensatory time
