🎓 Educational Qualifications
Minimum Educational Qualification:
- Bachelor’s degree (BA) from any university established by law in India or an equivalent recognized qualification
Essential Skills (Mandatory):
- Good knowledge of English Shorthand with minimum speed of 100 words per minute in dictation
- English Typing with minimum speed of 40 words per minute (equivalent to 12,000 key-depressions per hour)
Desirable Qualifications:
- Knowledge of Hindi Shorthand with minimum speed of 80 words per minute in dictation
- Hindi Typing with minimum speed of 9,000 key-depressions per hour
- Knowledge of Computer operation
Important: If two or more candidates have equal final marks, preference will be given to those with Hindi language skills and computer knowledge.

The selection process has 3 stages:
Stage 1: English Typing Test (Qualifying & Mandatory)
- Minimum speed required: 40 words per minute (12,000 key-depressions per hour)
- Candidates not achieving this speed will be disqualified immediately
- This is a qualifying test only
Stage 2: English Shorthand Test
- Speed required: 100 words per minute
- Duration of dictation: 7 minutes
- Transcription time: 45 minutes (excludes 10 minutes for reading notes)
- Maximum marks: 120
- Maximum admissible mistakes: 7% (49 mistakes out of 700 words)
- Full mistake = 1 mark deduction; Half mistake = 0.5 mark deduction
Stage 3: Written Examination (General Knowledge & English)
