🎓 Educational Qualifications

For Professor Position

You must have:

  • Ph.D. Degree in your subject from a recognized university
  • Master’s Degree with at least 55% marks (or equivalent grade)
  • Minimum 10 research publications in peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals
  • Minimum 10 years of teaching experience as Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor
  • Evidence of guiding doctoral candidates successfully
  • A research score of 120 or more as per UGC criteria

For Associate Professor Position

You need:

  • Ph.D. Degree in your subject from a recognized university
  • Master’s Degree with at least 55% marks (or equivalent grade)
  • Minimum 8 years of teaching/research experience in universities or colleges
  • Minimum 7 research publications in peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals
  • A research score of 75 or more as per UGC criteria

Important Notes on Qualifications

  • All degrees must be from recognized Indian universities or accredited foreign universities
  • If your marksheet shows grades instead of percentage, you must provide a Percentage Certificate from your university
  • Foreign degree holders must submit an Equivalence Certificate from the Association of Indian Universities or UGC
  • Your qualifications must be completed by 15 January 2026 (the last date of online application)
  • If you’re currently employed, you must provide a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from your employer
  • Selected teachers must achieve Gujarati language proficiency within one year of appointment

💰 Salary Details (Per Month)

For Professor

  • Salary Level: Academic Level-14 (7th Pay Commission)
  • Monthly Pay: ₹1,44,200/-
  • Includes Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), and other government benefits

For Associate Professor

  • Salary Level: Academic Level-13A (7th Pay Commission)
  • Monthly Pay: ₹1,31,400/-
  • Same government benefits as Professor position

⏳ Age Limit

  • Retirement Age: 65 years for university teachers

🎯 Selection Process

The selection follows a clear three-step process:

  • You must attend in person – no representative is allowed

Final Selection

  • Selection is based on your interview performance
  • Merit list is prepared and published on the university website
