🎓 Educational Qualifications
You must have one of the following qualifications from an MCI/NMC recognized institution:
- MD/DNB in relevant specialty (for General Medicine, Pathology, Paediatrics, Radiodiagnosis, and Transfusion Medicine)
- MS/DNB in Orthopaedics (for Orthopaedic specializations)
- M.Ch/DNB in relevant specialty (for Burns & Plastic Surgery and Paediatric Surgery)
- MD/DNB in Anaesthesiology (for all Anaesthesia fellowships)
These qualifications must be from institutions recognized by the Medical Council of India (MCI) or National Medical Commission (NMC).
💰 Salary & Stipend Details (Per Month)
Pay Level: 11 of the Pay Matrix (7th CPC)
Monthly Stipend: ₹67,700/-
Additional Benefits: Usual allowances + NPA (applicable only for medical candidates)
Note: NPA (Non-Practicing Allowance) is applicable for medical candidates. Sponsored candidates do NOT receive any emoluments from AIIMS Bathinda; payments are the responsibility of the sponsoring authority.

🎯 Selection Process
The selection is conducted in 2 stages based on merit and performance:
Stage I – Written Examination (60 marks)
- Duration: 60 minutes
- Format: 60 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs)
- Subject: Your chosen specialty
- Passing Criteria: You must score at least 50% marks to qualify for Stage II
Stage II – Departmental Assessment (40 marks)
- Only top 3 candidates per advertised seat will be called
- Clinical/Practical/Lab-based assessment
- Passing Criteria: You must score at least 50% marks in this stage
Final Selection
- Total marks from both stages determine your final rank
- You must score more than 50% marks in Stage I + Stage II combined to be eligible for admission
- Results will be announced on AIIMS Bathinda website
