ESIC Teaching Faculty Recruitment 2026 37 Academic Positions

ESIC Medical College & Hospital, Beltola, Guwahati is recruiting 37 teaching faculty members on a contractual basis. This is an excellent opportunity for qualified medical and non-medical professionals to join a prestigious government medical institution in Assam. Walk-in interviews will be held in January 2026.

For Medical Faculty (Professor, Associate & Assistant Professor):

• MBBS from a recognized university
• MD/MS/DNB or equivalent postgraduate degree in the relevant specialty
• Compliance with NMC (National Medical Commission) guidelines
• Valid Medical Registration with MCI/NMC
• Teaching and research experience as per NMC norms

For Non-Medical Faculty:

• M.Sc degree in relevant subjects (Anatomy, Biochemistry, Physiology, Pharmacology, Microbiology)
• Ph.D in the specialized field (required for higher positions)
• Teaching and research experience preferred

Consolidated remuneration as per ESIC norms:

• Professor: Fixed Basic ₹1,18,500 (Level 13) + Allowances (Approx. ₹2,53,586 in-hand)
• Associate Professor: Fixed Basic ₹78,800 (Level 12) + Allowances (Approx. ₹1,62,328 in-hand)
• Assistant Professor: Fixed Basic ₹67,700 (Level 11) + Allowances (Approx. ₹1,39,462 in-hand)

Note: The salary is on a contractual basis. In-hand salary includes basic pay, NPA (Non-Practicing Allowance), DA (Dearness Allowance), HRA (House Rent Allowance), and other applicable allowances. Salary revision may be pending.

• Teaching Faculty: Not exceeding 69 years (as on the date of document verification and interview)
• Senior Residents: Not exceeding 45 years (as on the date of document verification and interview)

Important: Age relaxation may apply for Ex-Servicemen and reserved category candidates as per government rules.

The recruitment process consists of the following stages:

• Walk-in Interview: Candidates will directly participate in personal interview rounds
• Document Verification: Original documents and self-attested copies will be verified
• Merit Assessment: Final merit list prepared based on interview performance and experience
• Appointment Letter: Selected candidates will receive official appointment confirmation

Note: The decision of ESIC is final. Candidates who can join immediately will be preferred.

Walk-in Interview Procedure:

4. Appear for document verification
5. Participate in the personal interview
6. Wait for the final merit list announcement
