SDRF Recruitment 2026 118 Support Staff Posts

Bihar State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) has announced recruitment for 118 support staff positions. This is an excellent opportunity for 10th pass candidates to join this prestigious government organization. The positions include Cook, Water Carrier, Barber, Dhobi, and Sweeper roles. Offline applications are being accepted until 27 January 2026.

• Matric Pass (10th Pass) from a recognized board
• Proficiency in the respective trade is essential:

• Cook: Vegetarian & Non-vegetarian cooking proficiency
• Water Carrier: Experience in water carrying and storage
• Barber: Proficiency in barbering work
• Dhobi: Experience in washing and laundry work
• Sweeper: Cleaning and sweeping experience

Monthly Salary:

• Fixed Honorarium: ₹22,000/- per month
• Same salary for all positions (Cook, Water Carrier, Barber, Dhobi, Sweeper)
• Additional benefits as per Bihar government rules

Note: This is a support staff position with stable income. Salary structure is fixed across all categories.

• Minimum Age: 18 years
• Maximum Age: 40 years (as on 01 December 2025)
• Age relaxation applicable as per Bihar government norms
• Reservation benefits available for SC, ST, OBC candidates
• 35% horizontal reservation for women candidates

The recruitment will be conducted through the following stages:

• Document Verification: Verification of educational and trade proficiency certificates
• Skill Test: Practical assessment of work skills for respective trade
• Interview: Personal interview to assess candidacy
• Final Selection: Based on merit and performance in all stages

Note: Commandant’s decision is final in all disputes. No TA/DA provided for interview. Selected candidates may be deputed outside Bihar if required.

Offline Application Process:

1. Fill the application form in prescribed format using own handwriting
2. Gather all required documents (see below)
3. Attach self-attested copies of all certificates
4. Include 2 color passport-size photographs
5. Include 2 self-addressed envelopes
6. Add application fee (₹100/- by DD/Cheque/Postal Order)
7. Send by Speed Post or Registered Post to the SDRF address
8. Write post name on envelope

• Experience Certificate for respective trade (if available)
• Caste Certificate (if applying under reserved category)
• Non-Creamy Layer Certificate (if applicable for OBC)
• Residence Certificate (proof of Bihar origin)
• EWS Certificate (if claiming Economically Weaker Section)
• Disability Certificate (if applicable)
• Freedom Fighter Certificate (if applicable)
• Aadhar Card copy
• 2 color passport-size photographs with name and date
• 2 self-addressed envelopes
• Application fee (₹100/- by DD/Cheque/Postal Order)

Note: Incomplete applications will be rejected. Married women must have certificates in father’s name. All documents must be self-attested photocopies.
