🎓 Educational Qualifications

You must have all of the following qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree from any discipline from a recognized university or equivalent qualification

Typewriting Certificate with minimum 40 words per minute speed in computer

PGDCA (Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Applications) Course completion certificate

💰 Salary / Stipend (Per Month)

  • Monthly Salary: ₹19,900 – ₹63,200
  • Pay Level: Level 4 of the Pay Matrix (ORSP Rules, 2017)

🎯 Selection Process

The recruitment involves 4 stages of examination. You need to qualify all stages to be finally selected:

Stage 1: Preliminary Examination (Qualifying)

  • Total Marks: 150
  • Duration: 2 hours
  • Questions: 150 objective type multiple-choice questions
  • Subjects: General English, General Knowledge, Logical Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude (Graduation level)
  • Negative Marking: 0.5 marks deducted per wrong answer
  • Qualifying Marks: 33% for SC/ST, 40% for others

Stage 2: Language Test (Qualifying)

  • Total Marks: 100
  • Duration: 2 hours
  • Essay in English (300 words): 30 marks
  • Precis writing: 20 marks
  • Translation (English to Odia): 20 marks
  • Translation (Odia to English): 20 marks
  • English Grammar: 10 marks
  • Qualifying Marks: 33% for SC/ST, 45% for others
  • Marks NOT counted in final merit

Stage 3: Computer Application Test (Qualifying)

  • Total Marks: 100
  • Theory (50 marks, 30 minutes): MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), MS Access, Internet

Stage 4: Main Written Examination – Typewriting Test in English (Marks counted in merit)

  • Duration: 10 minutes
  • Type approximately 400 words from printed matter at 40 words per minute
  • 0.25 marks deducted per mistake (omission, substitution, addition, repetition)
  • More than 20 mistakes leads to disqualification
  • Final merit list based solely on this test

⏳ Age Limit (as on January 13, 2026)

Basic Age Requirement:

  • Minimum Age: 21 years (must not be born later than January 12, 2005)
  • Maximum Age: 42 years (must not be born earlier than January 13, 1984)

Age Relaxations:

  • SC/ST/SEBC/Women candidates: 5 years relaxation (upper limit: 47 years)
  • Persons with Disabilities (40-50% disability): 10 years relaxation (upper limit: 52 years)
  • PwD belonging to SC/ST/SEBC: Cumulative 15 years (10 + 5 years = upper limit: 57 years)
  • Ex-Servicemen: As per State Government norms and relevant Acts/Rules
