Essential Qualification
Candidates must possess any one of the following degrees from a University established in India by law:
- Degree in Pharmacy OR
- Degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences OR
- Degree in Medicine with Specialization in:

Experience Requirement
To be authorized for inspection of Schedule C substances, candidates must have:
Any ONE of the following:
- Not less than 18 months experience in the manufacture of at least one substance specified in Schedule C, OR
- Not less than 18 months experience in testing of at least one substance in Schedule C in a laboratory approved by the licensing authority, OR
- Not less than three years experience in inspection of firms manufacturing substances specified in Schedule C during tenure as Drug Inspector
