🎓 Educational Qualifications

Essential Qualification:

• Degree in Law (LL.B.) from a recognized university

Language Requirement:

• Sufficient knowledge of Marathi language to speak, read, write, and translate from Marathi to English and vice-versa (Mandatory)

Experience Required (as on 30.01.2026):

Candidates must have at least 7 years of experience in any of the following:

Option 1:

• Practicing as an Advocate in the Bombay High Court or courts subordinate to it, OR
• Serving as a Judicial Officer in the Maharashtra Judicial Service

While computing 7 years:

• Period as Public Prosecutor or Government Advocate is included
• Period worked as Law Clerk (after provisional enrollment as Advocate) with Judges of Bombay High Court or Judicial Officers is included

Option 2:

• Working or have worked as Public Prosecutor or Government Advocate for at least 7 years
• Period as practicing Advocate shall be included

For Serving Judicial Officers:

• 7 years includes continuous service as Judicial Officer plus service as Public Prosecutor/Government Advocate plus practice as Advocate plus experience as Law Clerk

💰 Salary Details (per month)

Probation Period: 2 years from the date of joining

Service Bond: Selected candidates must execute a bond of ₹2,00,000 to serve for 3 years from the date of joining.

🎯 Selection Process

The selection involves a comprehensive three-stage process:

Stage 1: Preliminary Written Examination (if conducted)

• Type: Multiple choice objective questions (computer-based)
• Purpose: Short-listing candidates for Main Written Exam
• Ratio: 1:10 of advertised vacancies
• Note: Marks NOT counted for final selection
• Exam Centers: Mumbai, Nagpur, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar (Aurangabad), Kolhapur

Stage 2: Main Written Examination

Stage 3: Viva-voce (Personal Interview)

Final Selection

• Based on cumulative marks: Main Written Exam (200) + Viva-voce (50) = 250 marks
• Select list: Not exceeding advertised vacancies
• Wait list: Maximum 10% of vacancies or 1, whichever is higher
• Validity: 1 year from publication in Official Gazette
