🎓 Educational Qualifications

For Marine Engineer (Regular & Contract):

• Degree in Marine Engineering or equivalent from a recognised university or institution approved by the relevant authority.
• Must hold a valid Engineer’s Certificate of Competency issued by the Directorate General of Shipping (DGS), Government of India, or an equivalent qualification recognised by the Ministry.
• Relevant hands-on experience in marine engineering operations at a port or on ships is expected.

For Pilot (Regular & Contract):

• Must hold a valid Certificate of Competency as Master of a Foreign Going Ship, issued by the Directorate General of Shipping, Government of India, or an equivalent qualification recognised by the Ministry of Shipping.
• Candidates will initially join as Trainee Pilot and undergo a 6-month training period. After obtaining the required license, they will be designated as a full Pilot.
• Sound physical and mental fitness is mandatory — candidates must be in good health.

💰 Salary Details (Per Month)

Mumbai Port Authority follows the Industrial Dearness Allowance (IDA) Pay Scale used across all Indian Port Trusts. Based on the standard IDA scales applicable for these posts:

On top of basic pay, you’ll also get:

• Dearness Allowance (DA) on the industrial pattern
