🎯Selection Process

The recruitment follows a three-stage merit-based selection process:

Stage 1: Preliminary Examination

  • Total Marks: 100 marks
  • Duration: 2 hours
  • Questions: 100 objective multiple choice questions
    • 40 questions on General Knowledge & Current Affairs
    • 60 questions on Physics (Graduation Level)
  • Passing Marks: Minimum 30% required to qualify
  • Selection Criteria: Top 20 times the number of vacancies (category-wise) advance to Main Exam
  • Negative Marking: 0.2 marks deducted per wrong answer

Stage 2: Main Examination

Consists of two papers:

  • Paper I – Language Knowledge (100 marks):
    • 50 marks General Hindi + 50 marks General English
    • Intermediate level | 1.5 hours duration
    • Minimum 30 marks to qualify (not added to merit)
  • Paper II – Physics (100 marks):
    • 100 objective multiple choice questions (Graduation level)
    • 3 hours duration
    • Minimum 33% marks required to qualify
    • Final merit list based on this paper marks
    • Top 5 times the number of vacancies (category-wise) qualify for PET
  • Negative Marking: 0.2 marks per wrong answer in both papers

Stage 3: Physical Efficiency Test (PET) – Qualifying Only

All candidates must pass the following physical tests (separate minimum standards):
