🎓 Educational Qualifications

For Constable (UB) – Unarmed Branch:

• Higher Secondary (HS) or Class XII passed from a Government recognized Board or Council

For Constable (AB) – Armed Branch:

• HSLC or Class X passed from a Government recognized Board or Council

Special Note: Candidates with Higher Secondary or above can apply for both UB and AB with clear preference mentioned.

Additional Requirements:

• Must be a Citizen of India and Permanent Resident of Assam
• Must be registered with a local Employment Exchange in Assam
• Must speak Assamese or any other State language fluently

💰 Salary Details (per month)

Pay Scale: ₹14,000 – ₹70,000 per month

Grade Pay: ₹5,600

🎯 Selection Process

Stage 1: Physical Efficiency Test (PET)

• Constable (UB) Male & Female: 40 marks
• Constable (AB) Male: 60 marks
• Constable (AB) Female: 40 marks

Stage 2: Medical Examination

• Comprehensive health check-up by Medical & Health Officer

Stage 3: Physical Standard Test (PST)

• Height and Chest measurement (qualifying in nature, no marks)

Stage 4: Written Test

• 100 MCQ questions (0.5 marks each = 50 marks total)
• No negative marking
• Subjects: Elementary Arithmetic, General English, Logical Reasoning, Assam History/Geography/Polity/Economy, General Awareness & Current Affairs
• Languages: Assamese, Bodo, Bengali, English

Stage 5: Viva-Voce/Oral Test

• 5 marks for personality assessment

Academic Weightage (Only for UB):

• 5 marks based on Higher Secondary percentage

Total Marks:

• Constable (UB): 100 marks (PET 40 + Written 50 + Viva 5 + Academic 5)
• Constable (AB) Male: 115 marks (PET 60 + Written 50 + Viva 5)
• Constable (AB) Female: 95 marks (PET 40 + Written 50 + Viva 5)

Shortlisting:

• For Written Test: 5 times the vacancies based on PET merit
• For Viva-Voce: 2 times the vacancies based on PET + Written Test merit

⏳ Age Limit

As on 01 January 2026:

Minimum Age: 18 years (born not later than 01-01-2008)

Maximum Age: 25 years (born not before 01-01-2001)

Age Relaxation:

• SC/ST(P)/ST(H): 5 years
• OBC/MOBC: 3 years
• Home Guards/VDP/Civil Defence (3+ years service): Additional 3 years
• FMMOs/SPOs: Additional 10 years

Age Proof: Only Matriculation/HSLC Admit Card or Certificate accepted. No other documents like horoscope, affidavit, or birth extract will be considered.

2. Click on “Registration” for new users
3. Register using valid mobile number (Register ONLY ONCE for all advertisements)
4. Provide accurate information:
   • Employment Exchange Number
   • Highest Qualification
   • Personal details (name as per HSLC certificate)
   • Date of Birth, Aadhaar Number
   • Category/Caste details
5. After successful registration, an Application ID will be generated
6. Login using Application ID or Registered Mobile Number with Date of Birth
7. Apply for Advertisement No. SLPRB/REC/CONST (AB & UB)/727/2025/94
8. Upload required documents:
   • Recent passport-size photograph (max 450 KB)
   • Signature in black/blue ink (max 100 KB)
   • Age proof certificate
