Qualifications vary by position:

For Forester Grade-I:

  • Bachelor Degree in any discipline from a recognized university

For Sub-Officer & Constable (WO/WT):

  • H.S. (Science) with Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics (PCM) from recognized board

For Fireman & Emergency Rescuer:

  • H.S. (Science) from a recognized board

For Forest Guard, Game Watcher & Constable (UB):

🎯 Selection Process

Multi-Phase Competitive Merit-Based Selection:

Phase 1: Physical Efficiency Test (PET) – 40 Marks

For Male Candidates:

  • 3,200 meters race: Complete within 14 minutes (Max 20 marks)
  • Long Jump: Minimum 335 cm distance (3 chances given, Max 20 marks)

For Female Candidates:

  • 1,600 meters race: Complete within 8 minutes (Max 20 marks)
  • Long Jump: Minimum 244 cm distance (3 chances given, Max 20 marks)

Phase 2: Written Test

For Forester Grade-I (100 Marks):

  • 100 multiple choice questions
  • Negative marking: 0.5 marks deducted for wrong answers
  • Subjects: Logic, Aptitude, English, Assam & Indian History, General Knowledge
  • Duration: As per SLPRB guidelines

For Other Posts (50 Marks):

  • 100 multiple choice questions (each correct = 0.5 marks)
  • No negative marking
  • Class IX-X level questions

Phase 5: Specialized Tests

NCC Weightage – Maximum 5 Marks:

  • Boatman/Bandman/Bugler: Total 110 marks (+ Specialized test: 10 marks)

Tie-Breaking: Older candidates ranked higher; if same date of birth, taller candidate ranked higher
