🎓 Educational Qualifications

Essential Qualification:

  • MBBS degree from a recognized Medical College/University
  • Must have passed MBBS Part-I, Part-II, and Part-III examinations
  • Valid Medical Registration Certificate (Mandatory)

Also Eligible:

  • Foreign medical graduates who have completed FMGE (Foreign Medical Graduate Examination) conducted by NBE
  • Candidates with PG Degree/Diploma in Medical Sciences
  • Candidates with Ph.D., DM, or DCH qualifications

  • All MBBS marksheets (including failure marksheets, if any)

🎯 Selection Process

Merit-Based Selection:

  1. Merit List Preparation:
    • Based on MBBS marks obtained in Part-I, Part-II, and Part-III examinations
    • 80% weightage for total marks obtained
    • 20%/10% weightage for other criteria (as per government norms)
    • Minimum qualifying marks: 35% for Unreserved category
  2. Counselling:
    • Candidates will be called based on merit rank
    • Document verification during counselling
    • Choice filling for posting preferences
  3. Final Selection:
    • Subject to verification of all original certificates
    • Medical fitness certificate required
    • Character verification

Step 1: Registration

  • Click on “Online Portal of Junior Resident under Health Dept.”
  • Click “Apply for Junior Resident”
  • Enter valid email ID and mobile number (your own or parents’)
  • Verify OTP sent to mobile and email
  • Receive Registration Number and Password

Step 2: Fill Application Form

  • Personal Information: Fill all required personal details
  • Contact Details: Enter permanent and correspondence address
  • Educational Information: Submit all educational qualifications
  • Upload Documents:
    • Recent color photograph (high contrast, max 80KB)
    • Signature (max 30KB)
    • Format: JPG/JPEG only

Step 3: Preview & Submit

  • Check all entries carefully
  • Edit if required using “Back to Edit” option
  • Click “Final Submit & Proceed to Payment”
  • Accept declaration

Step 4: Payment

  • Pay Rs. 2,250/- online
  • Use Debit/Credit Card, Net Banking, or UPI
  • Complete payment by 06/02/2026 (11:59 PM)
  • If payment fails but amount debited, re-pay full fee (refund will be processed)

Step 5: Download Confirmation

  • Download Confirmation Page and Fee Receipt
  • Verify all details
  • Keep for future reference and counselling
  • Edit during 07-08 February 2026 if discrepancies found
