🎓 Educational Qualifications
For Houseman:
- Bachelor of Medicine & Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS)
- Must be registered with Maharashtra Medical Council
For Registrar (Medicine):
- MD Medicine / DNB Medicine / CPS Medicine, OR
- 2 years post-qualification work experience as Houseman
- Must be registered with Maharashtra Medical Council
For Registrar (Paediatrics):
- MD Paediatrics / DCH / DNB (Paediatrics), OR
- 2 years post-qualification work experience as Houseman
- Must be registered with Maharashtra Medical Council
For Registrar (Surgery):
- MS Surgery
- Must be registered with Maharashtra Medical Council
💰 Stipend / Salary Details (Per Month)
Houseman:
- Basic Pay: ₹6,600
- Dearness Pay (DP): ₹3,300
- Dearness Allowance (DA): As per rules
- Stipend: ₹27,000
- Total Approximate Monthly Stipend: ₹37,000+
Registrar:
- Basic Pay: ₹6,700
- Dearness Pay (DP): ₹3,350
- Dearness Allowance (DA): As per rules
- Stipend: ₹27,000
- Total Approximate Monthly Stipend: ₹37,000+
🎯 Selection Process
The selection will be based on merit and counseling. The process is as follows:
- Applications will be reviewed based on educational qualifications and eligibility
- Selection List will be displayed on 29th January 2026 at 3:00 PM at the hospital notice board
- Selected candidates must attend counseling on 30th January 2026 at 11:30 AM with original documents
- Preference will be given to candidates from Mumbai Municipal Corporation colleges
- At counseling, candidates must pay a refundable deposit of ₹10,000 via Demand Draft in favor of “Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai”
Note: Candidates who are blacklisted or who leave in the middle of tenure will not be considered for any municipal medical institution post for 3 years.
⏳ Age Limit
General Candidates: Maximum 33 years (as on 27.01.2026)
Backward Class Candidates: Maximum 38 years (as on 27.01.2026)
📑 How to Apply
Step 1: Visit the Office of Medical Superintendent, Kasturba Hospital for Infectious Diseases, Sane Guruji Marg, Mumbai-400011 between 19.01.2026 and 27.01.2026 (11:30 AM to 4:00 PM)
Step 2: Collect the prescribed application form from the office
Step 3: Fill the application form completely with accurate details
Step 4: Attach certified true copies of all relevant certificates (educational, age proof, experience certificates, Maharashtra Medical Council registration)
Step 5: Submit the completed application form at the same office on or before 27.01.2026 between 11:30 AM to 4:00 PM
Step 6: Check the selection list on 29.01.2026 at 3:00 PM on the hospital notice board
Step 7: If selected, attend counseling on 30.01.2026 at 11:30 AM with original documents and ₹10,000 Demand Draft

Important Notes:
- The ₹10,000 deposit is refundable only after completing the full 6-month tenure
