đ Educational Qualifications
1. Clerk
- Education: University Degree from any recognized university
- Preference: Degree holders in Law will be given preference
- Additional Requirement: Proficiency in computers
2. Peon
- Education: Ability to read and write the Marathi language
- Note: No specific educational qualification required
3. Driver
- Education: 10th Pass
- License: Valid LMV (Light Motor Vehicle) driving license
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of driving experience
4. Stenographer Lower Grade
- Education: Graduate degree
- Additional Skills: Shorthand knowledge with typing proficiency
5. Stenographer Higher Grade
- Education: University Degree
- Relaxation: This condition may be relaxed if the candidate has worked for at least 5 years as Lower Grade Stenographer in High Court, any other Court/Tribunal, or in the office of Advocate General/Government Pleader
- Preference: Candidates with a Degree in Law will be given preference

đ¯ Selection Process
The selection process involves multiple stages:
- Shorthand Test (For Stenographer posts)
- Typing Test (For Clerk and Stenographer posts)
- Viva-Voce (Interview)
Important Selection Rules:
- The Selection Committee reserves the right to adopt appropriate methods for shortlisting candidates at any stage
- Based on performance in tests and viva-voce, a Select List and Wait List will be prepared in order of merit
- The Select List and Wait List will be valid for 2 years from the date of publication (unless extended)
- If a candidate fails to join duty within the specified period, their name will be removed from the list without prior notice
âŗ Age Limit
As on 05 January 2026:
- Minimum Age: 18 years
- Maximum Age: 38 years
Age Relaxation:
Age relaxation will be applicable as per government rules for:
- SC/ST candidates
- OBC candidates
- PWD candidates
- Ex-servicemen
- Other categories as per Maharashtra Government norms

Hall Ticket/Admit Card:
- Admit cards will be made available on the official website
- No separate intimation will be sent
- Candidates must check the website regularly
- Download and print the admit card as per schedule
- Carry the admit card along with original photo ID proof (Aadhar/PAN/Driving License/Passport/Election ID)
Examination:
- Candidates must appear for tests/viva-voce at their own expense
- No TA/DA will be provided
- Absence on scheduled date will not be entertained under any circumstances
Selection List Validity:
- Select List and Wait List will remain valid for 2 years
- May be extended by the Hon’ble Chief Justice if required
General:
- The Bombay High Court reserves the right to:
- Make changes in the type of examination
- Change the number of vacancies
- Modify the selection process
- Postpone or cancel the examination for any reason
