🎓 Educational Qualifications

Eligibility varies depending on the position you’re applying for:

Clerk: You need to hold a University Degree from any recognized university. Candidates with a Law Degree get preference.

Peon: You must be able to read and write the Marathi language. No formal degree required.

Driver: 10th Pass is required, along with a valid LMV (Light Motor Vehicle) driving license. You must have at least 3 years of driving experience.

Steno Lower: You need a Graduate degree with knowledge of shorthand (typing speed required).

Steno Higher: You need a University Degree. However, if you’ve already worked as a Lower Grade Stenographer in the High Court, any other Court, Tribunal, or Government office for 5+ years, the degree requirement may be relaxed. Candidates with Law Degree get preference.

The salary structure depends on the position and falls under the 7th Pay Commission:

🎯 Selection Process

The selection process is designed to ensure fair and merit-based recruitment:

  1. Shortlisting: The Selection Committee will use appropriate methods to shortlist candidates at different stages. Decisions are at their discretion.
  2. Tests & Viva-voce: For Stenographer positions:
    • Shorthand Test
    • Typing Test
    • Viva-voce (Personal Interview)
  3. Merit List Preparation: Based on performance in tests and interviews, a Select List and Wait List will be prepared in order of merit.
  4. Publication: The Select and Wait Lists will be published on the official Bombay High Court website.
  5. List Validity: The lists remain valid for 2 years from publication date. They can be extended if the Chief Justice approves.
  6. Joining Requirement: If selected candidates fail to join within the specified time period, their names will be removed from the list without notification.
