🎓 Educational Qualifications

Education Required:

• Minimum: 10th pass (Matriculation) or equivalent from a recognized board
• Certificate: Only matriculation certificate will be accepted as official age proof
• Equivalence: Other certificates must have government equivalence notification

Sports Achievement Required (Most Important):

You must have participated in or won medals in International or National level competitions between January 15, 2024 to January 15, 2026.

Eligible Categories:

International Level:

• Participated or won medals in international sports tournament/championship
• Must be an official member of Indian contingent
• Sports federation must be recognized by IOC/IOA/Ministry of Youth & Sports (MOYAS)

National Level:

• Won medals in National Games (any position)
• Won medals in Senior National Championship
• Won medals in National Open Championship
• Won medals in Youth/Junior National Championship
• Must have represented your State/UT/Sports Control Board

Minimum Qualifying Marks: 12 marks (for all categories: General/SC/ST/OBC)

Important Notes:

• Team event members must be in playing members, NOT reserve list
• Your highest achievement will determine ranking (Gold > Silver > Bronze > Participation)
• International achievement is prioritized over National achievement
• Government Games/Senior Championship preferred over Open Championship

• OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) certificate must be obtained within 1 year before application closing date

🎯 Selection Process

The selection process has 6 transparent stages:

Stage 1: Application Scrutiny (Online)

• Your online application and uploaded documents reviewed
• Verification against eligibility criteria
• Minimum 12 marks required to proceed
• Admit card issued for qualified candidates

Stage 2: Documentation Verification

• Original documents checked: Age, education, caste, sports achievement
• Biometric identification captured
• Proof of age relaxation (if claiming) verified

Stage 3: Physical Standard Test (PST)

• Male: Height 170 cm, Chest 80 cm (unexpanded) with 5 cm expansion
• Female: Height 157 cm
• Weight checked for proportionality to height and age
• Relaxation available for certain categories

Stage 4: Merit List Preparation

• Ranking based on sports achievement marks using official marking table
• Priority Order: International medal > National medal > Participation
• Tie-breaking Rules: Higher marks → International over National → National Games over Senior Championship → Younger age → Alphabetical order

Stage 5: Medical Examination

• Detailed Medical Examination (DME) by certified doctors
• Meets BSF medical standards
• Any medical issue leads to rejection

Stage 6: Final Selection

• Merit list prepared combining all stages
• Final appointment offer based on rank and availability
• No TA/DA paid for recruitment
