These positions are available across various Government Medical Colleges in Maharashtra for a period of one year.

🎓 Educational Qualifications

For Both Tutors and Junior Residents:

Essential Qualification:

• MBBS degree from a recognized medical college
• Valid registration with Maharashtra Medical Council OR National Medical Commission (NMC)

Preferred Additional Qualifications:

• MD (Doctor of Medicine)
• MS (Master of Surgery)
• DM (Doctorate of Medicine – Super Specialty)
• MCH (Master of Chirurgiae – Super Specialty)
• DNB (Diplomate of National Board)
• CPS (Certificate of Post-Specialty)

Note: Candidates with postgraduate qualifications in the concerned subject will be given preference during tie-breaking in merit list preparation.

Note: These are fixed pay positions for one year engagement. No other allowances mentioned in the notification.

🎯 Selection Process

Merit-Based Selection:

1. Merit List Preparation:
   • Based on marks obtained in MBBS degree examination
   • Marks will be converted to percentage for comparison
2. Tie-Breaking Rules (if two candidates have same percentage):
   • Higher marks in 1st MBBS
   • Higher marks in 2nd MBBS
   • Higher marks in 3rd MBBS
   • Older admission batch gets preference
   • Older candidate (by Date of Birth) gets preference
   • Preference to candidates with PG qualification in concerned subject
3. Online Preference Filling:
   • Shortlisted candidates must fill online preferences between 25-27 February 2026
4. Seat Allotment:
   • Based on merit rank and preferences filled
   • Allotment letter sent via email on 04 March 2026
5. Document Verification:
   • Original documents verified at the time of joining at allotted institution

Note: No written exam or interview. Selection is purely merit-based on MBBS marks.

⏳ Age Limit

Maximum Age: 70 years (as on 23 February 2026)

Note: As per NMC Gazette dated 30.05.2025, there is no upper age limit restriction for these positions, but candidates must be below 70 years of age.
