Note: Reservations for SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PwD candidates will be followed as per Government norms. If enough engineers don’t join, diploma holders can be recruited for GEA positions.

🎓 Educational Qualifications

For Graduate Engineer Apprentice (GEA):

✅ Must Have:

• B.E./B.Tech. degree in any of the 7 branches mentioned above
• Degree must be from AICTE-approved colleges or recognized Indian universities
• Qualification obtained on or after 1st April 2023
• All applicants must be Indian residents

For Technician (Diploma) Apprentice (TA):

✅ Must Have:

• 3-Year Diploma course in any of the 7 branches mentioned above
• Diploma from recognized Indian institutes
• Diploma obtained on or after 1st April 2023
• Must be Indian citizen/resident

Additional Requirements:

• Candidates must register on NATS portal (www.nats.education.gov.in) before applying
• Cannot have undergone apprenticeship under Apprenticeship Act 1961 previously
• Qualifications must be from institutes recognized by appropriate statutory authority

💰 Salary/Stipend Details (Per Month)

Important Details:

• Stipend paid monthly for the 1-year apprenticeship period
• Training period: 9 February 2026 to 8 February 2027 (approximately)
• No TA/DA provided for document verification
• No employment guaranteed after completion – it’s pure training
• Contract of Apprenticeship required before joining

🎯 Selection Process

Your selection happens through merit-based assessment:

Step 1: Online Application

• Submit online application through ECIL website
• Include all required documents
• Last date: 20 January 2026 (4:30 PM)

Step 2: Provisional Selection

• List displayed on 23 January 2026
• Based on educational qualification marks

Step 3: Document Verification

• Dates: 28-30 January 2026
• Venue: ECIL Corporate Learning & Development Centre (CLDC), Hyderabad
• Bring all original documents with photocopies
• Only eligible candidates proceed

Step 4: Final Selection

• Based on merit (consolidated marks)
• For GEA: B.Tech/B.E. marks considered
• For TA: Diploma marks considered
• If CGPA: Conversion certificate to percentage required
• Selection purely merit-based and transparent

Step 5: Joining

• Selected candidates join on 9 February 2026
• Must sign Contract of Apprenticeship
• Medical fitness examination required before joining

1. Visit: www.nats.education.gov.in
2. Register yourself on the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS) portal
3. Complete the registration process
4. Save your NATS registration details

STEP 2: Apply on ECIL Website

1. Visit: www.ecil.co.in
2. Go to: Careers → Current Job Openings
3. Find the Apprentice recruitment (Advt. No. 01/2026)
4. Click on Apply Online
5. Fill the online application form carefully
6. Submit before 20 January 2026 at 4:30 PM
7. Take printout with system-generated application serial number
8. Keep the printout & application number safe for all future reference

Important: Only applications submitted on ECIL website will be accepted. Use NATS registration details when filling ECIL form.

✅ Original Documents (Mandatory):

• Online registration form (signed with photo)
• NATS Registration proof
• Date of Birth Certificate
• Government-issued Identity Proof (Aadhar, Driving License, Passport, etc.)
• B.Tech/B.E. or Diploma Certificate
• All mark sheets & consolidated marks sheet
• CGPA to percentage conversion certificate (if applicable)

✅ Reservation Category Documents (if applicable):

• Latest Caste Certificate (SC/ST/OBC Non-Creamy Layer) in prescribed format
• EWS Certificate in Government-prescribed format
• PwD Certificate showing 40% or above disability from authorized Medical Board

✅ At Time of Joining (After Selection):

• Character/Conduct Certificate from institution
• Police Verification Certificate from District Police Superintendent
• Physical Fitness Certificate from Civil Assistant Surgeon

✅ Document Format:

• All documents: Original + Photocopies
• Photocopies must be self-attested
• Only government-issued ID proofs accepted
• Follow prescribed format for category certificates

Q1: Is this a permanent job? A: No, this is a 1-year apprenticeship training only. There’s no obligation for employment after completion. You gain hands-on experience with a prestigious PSU.

Q2: Do I get a job after training? A: No guaranteed job. It’s pure training under the Apprenticeship Act 1961. Many companies recruit from apprentices later, but it’s not mandatory.

Q3: Can I apply if I’m from outside India? A: No, only Indian residents are eligible. Degree/Diploma must also be from Indian institutes.

Q4: What if I have a CGPA instead of percentage? A: You must get a CGPA to percentage conversion certificate from your college/university and submit it during document verification.

Q5: Is there any application fee? A: No, the application is completely free. No fees required.

Q6: Can diploma holders apply for GEA (graduate) position? A: No, only B.Tech/B.E. holders can apply for GEA. Diploma holders apply for TA only.

Q7: What happens if I’m absent during training? A: Absence without valid reason makes you liable to refund the entire training cost and stipend received. Serious rule violation can result in dismissal.
