For Professor Position

Essential Qualification:

• MD/MS in the concerned medical subject from a recognized institution

Experience Required:

• 3+ years as Associate Professor in the subject at a recognized medical institution, OR
• 3+ years as Specialist Medical Officer in Armed Forces with equivalent teaching experience
• Minimum 2 research publications (as first/second/third author) after becoming Associate Professor
• Completion of Basic Course in Biomedical Research

For Associate Professor Position

Essential Qualification:

• MD/MS in the concerned medical subject from a recognized institution

Experience Required:

• 4+ years as Assistant Professor, OR
• 5+ years as directly appointed Assistant Professor in Government medical institution, OR
• 3+ years teaching as Assistant Professor in Armed Forces (with 5+ years clinical experience)
• Minimum 2 research publications after becoming Assistant Professor
• Completion of Basic Course in Biomedical Research and Basic Course in Medical Education

For Assistant Professor Position

Essential Qualification:

• MD/MS in the concerned subject

Experience Required (Any one of the following):

• 1+ year as Senior Resident in recognized medical institution, OR
• 1+ year teaching/2+ years clinical experience in Armed Forces as Specialist, OR
• 2+ years experience as Non-teaching Consultant in 220-bed Government hospital, OR
• 4+ years as Senior Resident (Diploma holders), OR
• 6+ years cumulative experience as Specialist/Medical Officer (Diploma holders)

Special Note: In Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, and Pharmacology, non-medical candidates with M.Sc + Ph.D are eligible.

• Current and valid registration with NMC/State Medical Council
