HSL is recruiting for 11 positions across three categories:

Permanent Absorption (6 Posts)

• General Manager (Technical) – 1 post (OBC)
• General Manager (HR) – 1 post (OBC)
• Deputy General Manager (HR) – 1 post (UR)
• Manager (HR) – 3 posts (1 OBC, 1 SC, 1 ST)
• Deputy Manager (Safety) – 1 post (UR)
• Deputy Manager (Finance) – 1 post (UR)

Fixed Term Contract – 3 Years (2 Posts)

• Senior Chief Project Superintendent (Technical) – 2 posts (1 UR, 1 OBC)

Consultant – Fixed Term & Part-time (1 Post)

• Senior Consultant (Marine Technical Works) – 1 post

🎓 Educational Qualifications

Qualifications vary by position:

General Manager (Technical):

• B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics/Naval Architecture (60% marks minimum)
• Desirable: Post-graduation in Engineering/Management

General Manager (HR):

• Bachelor’s degree in any discipline (60% marks)
• Full-time PG Degree/Diploma in HR/Personnel Management/Industrial Relations (60% marks)
• Desirable: Degree in Law

Deputy General Manager (HR):

• Bachelor’s degree (60% marks)
• Full-time PG in HR/Personnel Management/Industrial Relations (60% marks)

Manager (HR):

• Bachelor’s degree (60% marks, 55% for SC/ST)
• Full-time PG Degree/Diploma in HR/Personnel Management/Labour Laws
• Desirable: LLB/LLM degree

Deputy Manager (Safety):

• B.E./B.Tech in any discipline (60% marks)
• 1-year Diploma in Industrial Safety from recognized institute

Deputy Manager (Finance):

• Qualified CA (ICAI) or ICWA member
• MBA Finance desirable

Senior Chief Project Superintendent (Technical):

• B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics/Naval Architecture (60% marks)
• Post-graduation in Engineering/Management desirable

Senior Consultant (Marine Technical Works):

• B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering
• PG in Civil Engineering & Marine works from IIT/reputed institute desirable

All degrees must be from UGC/AICTE recognized institutions.

💼 Work Experience Required

• General Manager (Technical/HR): Minimum 22 years in Navy/PSUs/large companies + 3 years in immediate lower grade
• Deputy General Manager (HR): Minimum 15 years in HR/Personnel/IR experience
• Manager (HR): Minimum 9 years in HR/Personnel/IR/Legal/Administration
• Deputy Manager (Safety): Minimum 5 years in Safety department with statutory compliance experience
• Deputy Manager (Finance): Minimum 5 years in Finance/Cost Accounting/Management/Auditing
• Senior Chief Project Superintendent: Minimum 24 years in shipbuilding/design/repairs/warships
• Senior Consultant: Minimum 25 years in planning/construction of defense/marine projects

💰 Salary & Benefits (Per Month)

Permanent Positions (IDA Pay Scales)

• General Manager (E7): Rs. 1,00,000 – Rs. 2,60,000
• Deputy General Manager (E5): Rs. 80,000 – Rs. 2,20,000
• Manager (E3): Rs. 60,000 – Rs. 1,80,000
• Deputy Manager (E2): Rs. 50,000 – Rs. 1,60,000

Additional Benefits:

• HRA (27% of Basic Pay under cafeteria approach)

Fixed Term Contract & Consultant

• Senior Chief Project Superintendent (FTC): Approx. Rs. 2,15,000/month (consolidated) for 3 years
• Senior Consultant: Rs. 1,20,000/month + retention incentive of Rs. 3,000 per year completed

⏳ Age Limit (As on 23-12-2025)

Age Relaxations:

• 5 years for SC/ST/OBC candidates
• 5 years for Central Government employees
• 10 years for Persons with Disabilities (PwD)
• Age relaxations for Ex-servicemen as per Government rules
• 1 year relaxation in lower-grade experience for internal permanent employees

🎯 Selection Process

Selection consists of:

1. Eligibility Check – Documents and qualifications verified
2. Shortlisting – Candidates shortlisted up to 6 times the vacancy based on:
   • Percentage of marks in essential qualification
   • Relevant work experience
   • Career achievements
3. Interview – Conducted by Standing Selection Committee:
   • Online (Video Conference) mode, OR
   • Physical interview at HSL, Visakhapatnam
   • Assessment of technical knowledge and experience
   • Discussion of previous work achievements
4. Final Selection – Committee’s decision is final and binding
5. Document Verification – All original documents checked before joining

Travel Reimbursement:

• 1st AC train fare for P1-P4 posts (by shortest route)
• 2nd AC train fare for P5-P6 posts
• Air travel allowed at candidate’s cost (reimbursed up to train fare)

About Category Certificates:

• SC/ST/OBC certificates in prescribed Government format required
• OBC (non-creamy layer): Certificate issued within 1 year from advertisement date
• EWS “Income & Asset” certificate: Issued after 01-04-2025

About Work Experience:

• Experience from Government, PSU, and private sectors accepted
• Training period and internship NOT counted
• NOC and CTC proof required from current/previous employers

About Posting:

• Primary posting location: Visakhapatnam
• May be transferred to project locations for 2 years
• May undertake outstation duties to Delhi/Yards as required
