ICF is recruiting sportspersons across different pay levels for various positions:

🎓 Educational Qualifications

The educational qualification varies based on the position you’re applying for:

For Senior Clerk (Level 5):

  • Degree from a recognized university

For Junior Clerk (Level 2):

  • 12th standard (+2 stage) or its equivalent from a recognized board

For Technician Grade III (Level 1):

  • 10th Pass from a recognized board
  • OR 10th Pass + ITI certificate granted by NCVT in relevant trades
  • OR 10th Pass + completed Act Apprenticeship in relevant trades

Sports Achievement: Candidates must have represented at state, national, or international level in recognized sports/games. Specific sports achievement criteria will be mentioned in the detailed notification.


💰 Salary Details (per month)

The salary structure is based on the 7th Pay Commission:

Level 1 (GP ₹1,800):

  • Basic Pay: As per 7th CPC Level 1 pay matrix
  • Suitable for 10th Pass + ITI/Apprentice candidates

Level 2 (GP ₹1,900):

  • Basic Pay: As per 7th CPC Level 2 pay matrix
  • Suitable for 12th Pass candidates

Level 5 (GP ₹2,800):

  • Basic Pay: As per 7th CPC Level 5 pay matrix
  • Suitable for Graduate degree holders

Additional Benefits:

🎯 Selection Process

The selection process for sports quota recruitment typically includes:

Step 1 – Screening of Applications: All applications will be screened to verify sports achievements and educational qualifications.

Step 2 – Sports Trials: Eligible candidates will be called for sports trials to assess their current sports performance and skill level. Trials will be conducted for specific sports/games.

Step 3 – Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates after sports trials will undergo document verification, including sports certificates, educational certificates, and other relevant documents.

Step 4 – Medical Examination: Selected candidates must pass a medical fitness test as per railway medical standards.

Step 5 – Final Selection: Based on sports performance, document verification, and medical fitness, the final merit list will be prepared.

Important: Candidates must bring original certificates of their sports achievements at national/state/international level during the trials.


⏳ Age Limit

Age criteria as on the closing date of application:

  • Minimum Age: 18 years
  • Maximum Age: 25 years

Age Relaxation:

  • SC/ST candidates: 5 years
  • OBC candidates: 3 years
  • PWD (Persons with Benchmark Disability): 10 years
  • Ex-Servicemen: As per government rules
  • Other categories: As per government norms

Note: Age relaxation rules will be applied as per Railway Recruitment Board guidelines and Government of India norms.

All Other Candidates (General/OBC) ₹500/-

Refund Policy: For SC/ST/Ex-Servicemen/PWD/Women/Minorities/EBC candidates, the application fee will be refunded after deducting bank charges if they appear in the sports trials.
