🎓 Educational Qualifications

Scientist B (Non-Medical – Biomedical Sciences):

  • Master’s Degree in a recognized subject related to Biomedical Sciences from a recognized university
  • Desirable: Experience in Research & Development related to Biomedical Sciences in Government/Public Sector/Private Institutions

Scientist B (Non-Medical – IT/Computer Science):

  • Qualification Option 1: M.E. / M.Tech in Computer Science from a recognized university
  • Qualification Option 2: ME / M.Tech (Computer Science) / MCA / 4-year B.E. or B.Tech or B.Sc. (Engineering) in Computer Science/IT with Ph.D. from a recognized university
  • Desirable: Experience in Research & Development related to Biomedical Sciences or Regulatory New Approach Methodologies (NAM) in Government/Public/Private Institutions

Scientist B (Non-Medical – Pharmacology):

  • Qualification Option 1: Master’s Degree in Pharmacy (Pharmacology) from a recognized university
  • Qualification Option 2: Pharm-D degree recognized by UGC/PCI
  • Desirable: Experience in Pre-clinical/Experimental Pharmacology in Research & Development

💰 Salary Details (Per Month)

Pay Scale: Level-10 as per 7th Central Pay Commission

🎯 Selection Process

The selection process consists of two stages to ensure merit-based recruitment:

Stage I: Computer Based Test (CBT)

  • Total Questions: 100 objective-type questions
  • Total Marks: 100
  • Nature: Qualifying (candidates must score 50% or more; 45% for SC/ST/PwBD)
  • Question Types: Single correct answer from 4 options
  • Marking Scheme:
    • 1 mark for correct answer
    • 1/3 negative marking for wrong answer
    • 0 mark for unanswered or marked for review questions

Important: Medium of examination is English only.

Stage II: Interview

  • Qualifying Candidates: Top 5 times the number of posts advertised in each category
  • Interview Marks: Merit list prepared based on Interview performance only
  • Duration: To be specified at the time of interview

Final Selection: Strictly based on Interview marks in descending order within each category.
