A total of 02 Junior Research Fellowship positions are available at IIT Kharagpur. These fellowships are for research work in Computer Science, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or Information Technology domains.
🎓 Educational Qualifications
Essential Requirements:
Degree: B.E. / B.Tech in any of the following branches:
- Computer Science (CS)
- Electronics and Communication (EC)
- Electrical Engineering (EE)
- Information Technology (IT)
Academic Performance:
- Minimum 70% marks or equivalent CGPA in B.E./B.Tech
- Minimum 70% marks in Class 10th
- Minimum 70% marks in Class 12th
Additional Requirement:
- Valid GATE score is mandatory (recent GATE qualification required)
💰 Stipend Details (per month)
Monthly Stipend: ₹37,000/- per month
This is as per MHRD/DST norms for Junior Research Fellows.
⏳ Age Limit
Maximum Age: 28 years (as on the last date of application)
Age Relaxation: Applicable as per Government of India rules:
- 5 years for SC/ST candidates
- 3 years for OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) candidates
- As per rules for PwD candidates
