The recruitment follows a 5-stage rigorous selection process:

Stage 1: Written Examination (Objective Type)

• Multiple Choice Questions in English Language only
• Questions based on general knowledge, reasoning, and awareness
• Negative marking: One-fourth marks deducted for each wrong answer
• NCC Bonus Marks: Awarded based on NCC Certificate:
  • ‘C’ Certificate: 5% bonus

Stage 2: Physical Standard Test (PST) – Qualifying Nature

  • 20 push-ups
• For Females:
  • 1000 meters race to be completed in 6½ minutes
  • Shot put (4 kg) throw of at least 14½ feet in three attempts
