🎓 Educational Qualifications
Candidates must possess one of the following:
Essential Qualification:
- MBBS degree from an institution recognized by National Medical Council (NMC)/Medical Council of India (MCI) OR
- Possession of recognized Graduate Medical Qualification included in:
- First Schedule
- Second Schedule
- Part-II of the Third Schedule (other than licentiate qualifications)
to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956
Important: Holders of educational qualifications included in Part-II of the Third Schedule must fulfill the conditions stipulated in sub-section (3) of section (13) of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956.
Registration: Valid registration with appropriate Medical Council is mandatory.

💰 Salary Details (per month)
Pay Scale: Level-9 (₹52,700 – ₹1,66,700)
Selected candidates will receive salary as per 7th Pay Commission along with other admissible allowances such as DA, HRA, TA, and other benefits as applicable.
🎯 Selection Process
Selection will be based on Written Examination (MCQ Type) only.
Examination Pattern:
- Duration: 2 hours (120 minutes)
- Total Questions: 100 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs)
- Standard: Questions will be of the standard prescribed for the National Entrance Eligibility Test (NEET) for admission to PG courses
- Syllabus: Available on the JKPSC official website
Negative Marking:
- For each incorrect answer: 0.25 marks will be deducted
- If a candidate gives more than one answer: Treated as wrong answer with same penalty
- If question is left blank: No penalty

Step 1: One Time Registration (OTR)
- Visit JKPSC website: https://www.jkpsc.nic.in
- Click on “One Time Registration” or “Login” if already registered
- Fill all mandatory fields: personal information, contact details, educational qualifications
- Upload recent passport-size photograph and signature (10KB to 20KB, .jpg/.jpeg format only)
- Photo should not be taken earlier than 01.01.2025
Step 2: Apply for the Post
- After OTR completion, login to your account
- Click on “Show Examination” and select the month of advertisement
- Click on “APPLY” button against Medical Officer (Allopathic) post
- Read instructions carefully before proceeding
- Fill remaining fields and accept the declaration
- Click “SUBMIT” to save the application
Step 3: Fee Payment
- Go to “Submitted Applications” menu
- Pay the requisite fee through online mode
- Verify fee status on your application form
Step 4: Upload Documents
- After successful fee payment, upload all requisite documents
- Ensure all documents are clear and legible
Step 5: Final Submission
- Take printout of submitted application for future reference
- This printout will be required during document verification

📋 Important Instructions
⚠️ Candidates should note:
- Reservation Certificates: Must be in the prescribed format as per J&K Reservation Rules-2005. Claims based on false/fake/fraudulent certificates will lead to debarment and legal action.
- Cut-off Date: The last date for application (04.02.2026) is the cut-off date for determining eligibility regarding educational qualifications and reservation claims.
- Service Obligation: Selected candidates must serve mandatorily in peripheral and far-flung areas of J&K UT in the interest of equitable healthcare delivery.
- PG Courses: Selected candidates will not be permitted to continue their PG courses or tenure positions. They will be given a one-time option to either accept the selection or continue with ongoing PG/tenure.
- Apply Early: Submit applications well before the closing date to avoid last-minute technical issues due to heavy website traffic.
- Document Verification: Candidates will be required to present downloaded copy of online application form along with original certificates at the time of document verification.
