🎓 Educational Qualifications

Essential Qualification

Candidates must possess any one of the following degrees from a University established in India by law:

  • Degree in Pharmacy OR
  • Degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences OR
  • Degree in Medicine with Specialization in:
    • Clinical Pharmacology OR
    • Microbiology

Note: The qualification must be as per Rule No. 49 of Drug & Cosmetics Rules, 1945.

Experience Requirement

To be authorized for inspection of Schedule C substances, candidates must have:

Any ONE of the following:

  1. Not less than 18 months experience in the manufacture of at least one substance specified in Schedule C, OR
  2. Not less than 18 months experience in testing of at least one substance in Schedule C in a laboratory approved by the licensing authority, OR
  3. Not less than three years experience in inspection of firms manufacturing substances specified in Schedule C during tenure as Drug Inspector

🎯 Selection Process

The selection will be conducted through a competitive examination consisting of:

1. Written Examination (Total: 1000 Marks)

The examination consists of 5 objective type papers, each of 200 marks and 2 hours duration:

  • Visit the official JPSC website: www.jpsc.gov.in
  • Read “How to Register for OTR” instructions
  • Complete OTR registration with valid email ID and mobile number (keep active till final result)

Step 2: Fill Online Application

  • Login using OTR credentials
  • Fill the application form in BLOCK LETTERS (except signature)
  • Enter name and father’s name exactly as in Matriculation certificate
  • Enter date of birth as mentioned in Matriculation certificate/mark sheet

Step 3: Upload Documents

  • Upload recent colored passport size photograph (via webcam/live capture)
  • Upload signature at designated places
  • Ensure photograph and signature are clear, otherwise application will be rejected

Step 4: Pay Application Fee

  • Pay through Credit Card/Debit Card/Net Banking/Wallet/Bharat QR/UPI
  • Keep payment confirmation for reference

Step 5: Submit Application

  • After successful submission, download filled application from “Download Filled Application Section”
  • Take two printouts of the application
