🎓 Educational Qualifications
There are two pay levels for this post, and eligibility differs for each:
For Level 9A (Entry Pay ₹56,100) — Engineering/Technology disciplines: First class B.E./B.Tech./B.S. in the relevant discipline.
For Level 10 (Entry Pay ₹57,700) — Engineering/Technology disciplines: First class in either Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in the relevant discipline.
For Level 9A — Science & Humanities (Maths, Physics, Chemistry, English): Master’s Degree with First Class, plus NET/SLET/SET qualification.
For Level 10 — Science & Humanities: Master’s Degree with First Class in the relevant subject.
Dress Design & Garment Manufacturing and Interior Design follow the same eligibility as Engineering disciplines.

These are Government of Jharkhand pay scales with all standard allowances applicable as per state rules.
🎯 Selection Process
Selection is done in two stages — Academic Assessment + Interview.
Stage 1 — Academic Record/Achievements (80 marks): Candidates are shortlisted based on marks in their qualifying degrees, teaching/post-doctoral experience, and publications. 5× candidates per vacancy are called for document verification, and then 3× candidates per vacancy are called for interview.
Stage 2 — Interview (20 marks): Final merit list is prepared based on combined marks from both stages. In case of a tie, the candidate with higher Post Graduation marks ranks higher. If still tied, the older candidate (by date of birth) is ranked higher.
Experience bonus: Teaching/Post-doctoral experience earns 2 marks per year. Need-Based/Contractual Teachers under Jharkhand’s Higher & Technical Education Dept get 1 additional mark per year (max 5 extra marks), capped at 80 total marks.
⏳ Age Limit
There is no minimum age limit to apply. The maximum age is less than 65 years as on 1 August 2025 — since the retirement age for this post is 65 years. If a candidate turns 65 at any point during the selection process, their candidature will not be considered.
Age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/PwD candidates is applicable as per Government of Jharkhand norms.

📑 How to Apply
- Visit jpsc.gov.in and register via the OTR (One Time Registration) system.
- Log in and fill the online application form carefully.
- Upload required documents and pay the fee online before 14 March 2026.
- After submission, download and print two copies of the filled application form from the “Download Filled Application” section on your dashboard.
- Send one self-attested printed copy along with all required certificates by Registered Post / Speed Post or by hand to:

Candidates applying for more than one post must submit separate applications for each post.
