🎓 Educational Qualifications Required
For Professor Position
Option A: Eminent Scholar
- Ph.D. in relevant/allied/concerned discipline
- At least 10 research publications in UGC-listed peer-reviewed journals
- Research score of 120 (as per prescribed criteria)
- Minimum 10 years of teaching experience at university/college level as Assistant/Associate/Professor OR equivalent research experience with successful Ph.D. guidance
Option B: Outstanding Professional
- Ph.D. in relevant/allied/applied discipline from reputed academic institutions or industry
- Significant contribution to knowledge in the field
- At least 10 years of professional experience
For Associate Professor Position
- Good academic record with Ph.D. in concerned/relevant/allied discipline
- Master’s Degree with minimum 55% marks in the relevant subject
- Minimum 8 years of teaching and/or research experience at Assistant Professor level or equivalent
- At least 7 publications in peer-reviewed/UGC-listed journals
- Research score of 75 (as per prescribed criteria)
For Assistant Professor Position
Option A: Masters Route
- Master’s Degree with 55% marks in concerned/relevant/allied subject from an Indian University
- OR equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university
- Must have cleared NET (UGC/CSIR) or equivalent accredited test (SLET/SET)
Option B: Ph.D. Route
- Ph.D. degree from a foreign university ranked in Top 500 (QS/THE/ARWU rankings)

Biochemistry & Biophysics:
- Professor: M.Sc. in Biochemistry with experience in Cellular & Molecular Biology, Immunology
- Associate Professor (Medical Biochemistry): M.Sc. in Biochemistry/Physiology/Molecular Biology/Biotechnology
- Associate Professor (Electrophysiology): M.Sc. in Biochemistry/Physiology/Biophysics
- Associate Professor (Proteomics & Biophysics): M.Sc. in Biochemistry/Biophysics/Zoology
Environmental Science:
- Professor & Associate Professor: M.Sc. in Environmental Science/Botany/Zoology/Earth Science/Geology/Geography (with specialization in ecology, environmental biology, toxicology, microbiology)
- Assistant Professor: Open specialization with significant field experience
Library & Information Science:
- All posts require specialization in Resource Description and Content Designation
Philosophy:
- All posts with open specialization as per departmental requirements
Marks Relaxation
- 5% relaxation at Graduate & Master’s level for SC/ST/OBC (Non-Creamy Layer)/Differently-abled candidates
- 5% relaxation from 55% to 50% at Master’s level for Ph.D. holders (degree obtained before 19 Sept 1991)
- No relaxation for Differently-abled candidates in Physical Education
