Essential Requirements:
- Master’s Degree with a minimum of 55% marks (or equivalent grade) in your concerned subject from an Indian University or an accredited foreign university
**AND
- Either National Eligibility Test (NET) passed in your subject (conducted by UGC or CSIR)
- OR State Level Eligibility Test (SLET/SET) passed
- OR Ph.D. Degree awarded as per UGC (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of M.Phil./Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2009 or 2016
Additional Requirements for Ph.D. Candidates:
If you hold a Ph.D., you must have:
- Completed your Ph.D. in regular mode (not distance)
- Had your thesis evaluated by at least two external examiners
- Completed an open Ph.D. viva voce (oral examination)
- Published at least two research papers from your Ph.D. work (at least one in a peer-reviewed journal)
