🎓 Educational Qualifications

For Professor Posts:

Option A:

  • Ph.D. degree in the concerned/allied/relevant discipline
  • Minimum 10 research publications in peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals
  • Total research score of 120 as per UGC Regulations-2018
  • Minimum 10 years of teaching experience as Assistant Professor/Associate Professor/Professor
  • Evidence of successfully guiding doctoral candidates

Option B:

  • Ph.D. degree from academic institutions/industry
  • Significant contribution to the discipline with documentary evidence
  • 10 years of experience in the field

For Associate Professor Posts:

  • Good academic record with Ph.D. degree in concerned discipline
  • Master’s Degree with at least 55% marks
  • Minimum 8 years of teaching/research experience
  • Minimum 7 publications in peer-reviewed journals
  • Total research score of 75 as per UGC Regulations-2018

For Assistant Professor Posts:

Option A:

  • Master’s degree with 55% marks in concerned subject
  • Cleared NET/SLET/SET conducted by UGC/CSIR OR
  • Ph.D. degree as per UGC Regulations 2009/2016 (exempted from NET)

Option B:

  • Ph.D. from foreign university ranked in top 500 in World University Ranking

For Deputy Librarian:

  • Master’s Degree in Library Science/Information Science with 55% marks
  • 8 years experience as Assistant University Librarian/College Librarian
  • Ph.D. degree in Library Science/Information Science
  • Evidence of innovative library services including ICT integration

For Assistant Librarian:

  • Master’s Degree in Library Science/Information Science with 55% marks
  • Cleared NET/SLET/SET OR Ph.D. degree (exempted from NET)
  • Knowledge of computerization of library

💰 Salary Details (per month)

Additional Benefits: Selected candidates will be entitled to other allowances and benefits as per Government of India/NCERT rules applicable from time to time.


🎯 Selection Process

Shortlisting:

For Assistant Professor:

  • Up to 50 candidates (category-wise) for first vacancy
  • 5 candidates for every additional vacancy
  • Based on academic score (minimum 60 marks)

For Professor & Associate Professor:

  • Up to 10 candidates for first vacancy
  • 5 candidates for every additional vacancy
  • As per UGC guidelines

Final Selection:

  • Academic score is used only for shortlisting
  • Final selection based entirely on interview performance
  • Document verification at the time of interview
  • Shortlisted candidates list displayed on NCERT website

⏳ Age Limit

  • Age of retirement on superannuation will be as per UGC/NCERT/Government of India norms
  • Age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC(NCL)/EWS/PWD categories as per government rules
  • PWD candidates must have minimum 40% disability with certificate from competent medical board
