For Senior Scientific Officer:

• Maximum Age: 40 years
• Essential Qualifications:
  • PhD in relevant discipline (Forensic Psychology, Psychology, Criminology, Neuropsychology, Clinical Psychology, etc.)
  • OR Master’s degree in specified psychology/forensic disciplines
• Experience Required:
  • PhD holders: Minimum 2 years post-qualification experience
  • Master’s holders: Minimum 5 years analysis/research experience in government/research/forensic organizations
• Desirable: Experience in polygraph, BEOS, SDS, Eye Detect, LVA

For Junior Scientific Officer (Multimedia Forensics):

• Maximum Age: 35 years
• Essential Qualifications:
  • BE/B.Tech in CSE/ECE/IT/Electronics or Master’s in Computer Science/IT/Forensic Science/Cyber Forensics/Digital Forensics/Data Science
• Experience Required: 3 years analysis/research experience in forensic labs/recognized institutes

For Junior Scientific Officer (DNA Forensics):

The selection process varies by position:

For Senior Scientific Officer Posts:

• Stage 1: Screening test (if needed) based on qualification and experience
• Stage 2: Personal interview by selection committee

For Junior Scientific Officer, Senior Scientific Assistant, Laboratory Assistant:

• Stage 1: Written test (merit-based)
