🎓 Educational Qualifications Required

💰 Salary & Benefits

Group A (Odisha Police Service): ₹56,100/month (Level-12, Cell-1 in Pay Matrix under ORSP Rules 2017)

Group B Services: ₹44,900/month (Level-10, Cell-1 in Pay Matrix under ORSP Rules 2017)

🎯 Selection Process

The exam happens in three stages:

Stage 1: Preliminary Examination (Objective Type)

  • Paper 1: General Studies (200 marks, 2 hours)
  • Paper 2: General Studies (200 marks, 2 hours) – Qualifying paper
  • Minimum Qualifying Marks: 33% in Paper 2
  • Negative Marking: 0.33 marks deducted for each wrong answer

Stage 2: Main Examination (Written)

  • Part I (Qualifying): Odia & English language papers
  • Part II (Merit-based): 7 papers including Essay, General Studies (I, II, III, IV), and 2 Optional subjects
  • Total Marks: 1050 marks

Stage 3: Interview (Personality Test)

  • Marks: 250 marks
  • Final Merit: Determined by Main Exam (Part II) + Interview scores
