The selection is merit-based, with marks awarded across multiple criteria:
Academic Performance Evaluation (Total: 70 Marks)
Graduation Marks:
- 80% & above = 10 marks
- 60% to less than 79% = 8 marks
- 50% to less than 59% = 5 marks
Post-Graduation Marks:
- 80% & above = 10 marks
- 60% to less than 79% = 8 marks
- 55% (or 50% for SC/ST/OBC non-creamy layer/PwD) to less than 59% = 5 marks
M.Phil Qualification:
- 60% & above = 10 marks
- 55% to less than 59% = 7 marks
Ph.D. Qualification:
- Ph.D. + M.Phil = Maximum 20 marks
- Ph.D. alone = 20 marks
Research Qualifications/NET:
- NET with JRF = 10 marks
