The university is recruiting faculty across diverse academic disciplines to strengthen its teaching faculty. Positions are open for both experienced retired faculty and newly qualified M.Phil/Ph.D. holders. All vacancies are for temporary engagement with contractual terms based on university norms.


🎓 Educational Qualifications Required

To be eligible for this recruitment, candidates must possess:

For all positions:

  • Qualifications as prescribed by UGC (University Grants Commission) guidelines
  • M.Phil degree or Ph.D. degree

Important Notes:

  • Ph.D. is mandatory for Professor and Associate Professor positions
  • Candidates without Ph.D. are eligible for Guest Faculty/Assistant Professor positions under a lower honorarium category
  • Time spent pursuing M.Phil or Ph.D. is not counted as teaching/research experience for employment purposes
  • However, if you pursued a research degree simultaneously with teaching work without taking leave, that period counts as teaching experience

💰 Salary & Honorarium Details (Per Month)

The honorarium structure is flexible and depends on your qualifications:

For Ph.D. Degree Holders (PG courses):

  • Rs. 1,000 per class
  • Maximum 60 classes per month
  • Maximum Monthly Honorarium: Rs. 60,000

For Non-Ph.D. Degree Holders (UG/PG courses):

  • Rs. 750 per class
  • Maximum 60 classes per month
  • Maximum Monthly Honorarium: Rs. 45,000

Note: Honorarium is based on the number of classes actually conducted, not a fixed salary. Retired Assistant Professors can be engaged as Guest Faculty at these rates.


⏳ Age Limit

  • Maximum Age: 70 years (as on 18-02-2026)
  • Engaged retired faculty can continue teaching until they reach 70 years of age, subject to satisfactory performance review

🎯 Selection Process

The selection is merit-based, with marks awarded across multiple criteria:

Academic Performance Evaluation (Total: 70 Marks)

Graduation Marks:

  • 80% & above = 10 marks
  • 60% to less than 79% = 8 marks
  • 50% to less than 59% = 5 marks

Post-Graduation Marks:

  • 80% & above = 10 marks
  • 60% to less than 79% = 8 marks
  • 55% (or 50% for SC/ST/OBC non-creamy layer/PwD) to less than 59% = 5 marks

M.Phil Qualification:

  • 60% & above = 10 marks
  • 55% to less than 59% = 7 marks

Ph.D. Qualification:

  • Ph.D. + M.Phil = Maximum 20 marks
  • Ph.D. alone = 20 marks

Research Qualifications/NET:

  • NET with JRF = 10 marks
  • NET without JRF = 7 marks
  • SLET/SET = 5 marks

Interview Components (Total: 50 Marks)

Demo Class: 25 marks

  • Duration: 10 minutes
  • Syllabus: Based on CBCS Model UG syllabus
  • Tests your teaching methodology and subject expertise

Viva Voce: 25 marks

  • Tests your subject knowledge, communication, and suitability

Final Merit List

  • Candidates ranked by total score (maximum 120 marks)
  • Merit list valid for one year from publication date
