🎓 Educational Qualifications
Essential Requirements:
- MBBS Degree from a recognized institute by the Indian Medical Council OR a medical qualification included in the I or II schedule or part II of the third schedule to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956
Plus
- Post Graduate Degree in broad or super specialty: DM/MCh/MD/MS/DNB/PG Diploma in the relevant field applicable for the concerned department
Additional Conditions:
- Must NOT have completed 3 years of Senior Residency in any recognized institute (including regular and adhoc periods)
- Must have valid registration certificate from Delhi Medical Council OR must have applied for DMC registration with proper acknowledgment at the time of interview
- Must be a citizen of India
Relaxation: In case of non-availability of fresh candidates with PG Degree/Diploma, candidates having two years’ experience as Junior Resident in the concerned speciality/super speciality may be considered.
💰 Salary Details (per month)
Pay Scale: ₹15,600 – ₹39,100 + Grade Pay ₹6,600 + NPA (Non-Practicing Allowance)
Pay Level: Level 11 as per 7th Central Pay Commission (CPC)

🎯 Selection Process
The selection will be conducted through a straightforward process:
- Walk-in Interview – Candidates must appear in person on the scheduled date with all required documents
- Merit List Preparation – Based on interview performance, a merit list of selected and wait-listed candidates will be prepared
- Result Publication – The merit list will be published on RGSSH website and Health & Family Welfare Department website, Govt. of NCT of Delhi
Important Note: Senior Residents may be assigned duties in the Emergency Department as and when required in case of exigency.
⏳ Age Limit
Upper Age Limit: 37 years
Age Relaxation Available:
- SC/ST/OBC candidates: As per Government of India/DoPT rules
- Departmental candidates: As per rules
- Ex-Servicemen: As per Government norms
- Persons with Disability: As per Government guidelines
- Under special relaxation provisions, upper age limit may be extended up to 45 years in specified cases as per Health & Family Welfare Department circulars
