🎓 Educational Qualifications
Candidates must possess any one of the following:
- Diploma or equivalent in coaching from SAI NS-NIS, Patiala or from any other recognized Indian/Foreign University
- Participation in Olympics/Paralympics/Asian Games/World Championship with Certificate Course in Coaching
- Dronacharya Awardee
💰 Stipend / Salary Details (per month)
Pay Scale: Level 6 – Rs. 35,400 to Rs. 1,12,400
(Pay Band-II: Rs. 9,300-34,800 with Grade Pay Rs. 4,200)
🎯 Selection Process
The selection follows a two-stage process:
Stage 1: Computer Based Test (CBT)
- Duration: 2 hours
- Total Questions: 100 Multiple Choice Questions
- Negative Marking: 1/4 mark deduction for wrong answers
- Weightage in Final Merit: 40%
Question Distribution:
- Sports-specific knowledge: 65 marks
- Sports Science: 25 marks
- General Awareness, Reasoning, Aptitude: 10 marks
Stage 2: Coaching Ability Test (CAT)
- Candidates will be shortlisted in 1:3 ratio (3 times the number of vacancies per sport/category)
- 40 assessment parameters
- Weightage in Final Merit: 60%
Final Selection: Based on combined performance in CBT (40%) and CAT (60%)
⏳ Age Limit
Maximum Age: 30 years (as on 01 February 2026)
Age Relaxations:
- SC/ST: 5 years
- OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): 3 years
- Ex-Servicemen: As per Government of India norms
- Departmental/Contractual Candidates of SAI: Equivalent to service duration in SAI
